Sign Up for Fall 2019 Jazz Ensemble Auditions

Auditions for Instrumentalists will be held September 11, 2018, 4:30-8:30 pm in the Effron Music Building, Jazz Studio (E101). Auditions for Vocalists AND Instrumentalists will be held September 12, 2018, 4:30-8:30 pm in the Effron Music Building, Jazz Studio (E101).

We ask that students prepare a piece such as a solo transcription, etude, or something similar.  There will also be some sight-reading.  Improvisation is mandatory for placement in the small groups but not required for membership in the Creative Large Ensemble. If you wish to improvise, please bring a backing track, iReal Pro enabled device, etc..  Auditions tend to last no more than 10 minutes.
